One to One Therapy

“If you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark”

-Alice In Wonderland

Life can be challenging, we can all struggle and lose our way. And we all, sometimes, need a little help and support just for me. This doesn’t mean you are broken or selfish, it simply means you are human. I offer a holistic space for reflection, compassion and hope. Your therapy will be guided by your unique needs, gifts and experience. It is an inner journey of self-discovery and empowerment. I offer long-term and short-term talking therapy from an Integrative Transpersonal model. Therapy will take place either remotely, face to face in my Sussex practice, or via walking therapy.

Whichever medium suits you best you will be treated with sensitivity and compassion.

My Fees

I feel strongly about making therapy available for anyone and offer a sliding scale for session fees. For a 50 min session my fees range from £90 up to £120. Concessions are available for those on a lower income.

What to expect

  • An initial assessment where we meet each other for the first time.
  • If we believe we are a good Client - Therapist match I ask you to commit for an initial eight 50 minute sessions concluding with a clear review.
  • Thereafter we may conclude our therapy or contract for a specific number of sessions, or open-ended therapy.

What is walking Therapy?

Walking therapy adheres to all the same principles and boundaries as one to one therapy, however, the 50-minute session is conducted outdoors as we walk and talk in the beautiful Sussex countryside.

Walking therapy can be a fantastic alternative to traditional sessions in the therapy room. The inspiration from nature can change your perspective, whilst the meditative movement of our combined footsteps can relax our body and mind to remove blocks.

Emotions can get stuck in our body, but through movement these can loosen and allow the opportunity for exploration. Walking side by side may also allow more difficult topics or emotions to arise more freely.

Being in nature can be a great healer and reduce anxiety and depression. Being alongside an empathetic companion can offer healing properties and stimulate the production of feel-good hormones.

How does walking therapy work?

  • Walking therapy can be a regular arrangement or a one-off session to complement traditional therapy.
  • Due to the increased logistics, and daylight limitations, sessions will usually take place in the day time.
  • We would initially agree a session indoors in my home therapy practice, where we will discuss the type of walks that suits you, confidentiality and bad weather plans.
